ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan People’s Party senior leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in a rejoinder to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said that the federal government led by the Pakistan Muslim League-N has soft corner for India’s government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a statement issued here, the former prime minister said that the information minister in his press conference instead of condemning Indian atrocities in the Indian-held Jammu Kashmir has leveled baseless accusations on the Azad Jammu Kashmir government which amounts to hide the Indian atrocities on helpless Kashmiri people.
On one hand, the information minister was hoodwink people of Pakistan of these Indian atrocities and on the other was inciting PML-N goons to attack lives and properties of the PPP members and sympathisers in the state, he said. He pointed out that federal ministers were campaigning for the PML-N candidates with full official protocol and trying to influence Kashmiri elections.
He said that these federal ministers were using inciting language which has turned into violent incidents against the PPP workers and supporters. He said that a free and fair election means defeat for the PML-N in the Kashmiri state. He said that leveling false accusation against the Kashmiri government by the federal ministers was a case of pot calling kettle black.
He said that the PML-N could clearly see their defeat in the Kashmiri elections so it has resorted to incite its thugs to violence and burning and destroying properties of the PPP supporters.
