ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui has said the recent visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to Azerbaijan was successful and result oriented.
The Prime Minister and the Azeri leadership had showed commitment to increase volume of trade, investment and defence production, he said talking to PTV.
He said it was the first official visit of Prime Minister to Azerbaijan where he was accorded a warm welcome.
The Prime Minister held several meetings with the Azeri President and Prime Minister, he added.
Irfan Siddiqui said the President of Azerbaijan would visit to Pakistan early next year when several memoranda of understanding would be signed between two countries.
He said the Azerbaijan leadership endorsed Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue and they strongly condemned Indian atrocities and barbarism on innocent Kashmiris in the occupied valley.
He said India could not isolate Pakistan in the world and this visit was a clear message for India that world was supporting Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir.
